When the team is mid-discussion and short on time, writing a clear Action on the spot can be tricky. The AI Action suggestion feature gives you a starting point that you can keep, edit, or throw away.
How It Works
While the Retrospective is in the Discuss sub-status, each note shows a Suggest with AI button alongside the Action input. Clicking it sends the current note (and any comments under it) to AI, which proposes up to three distinct Actions that address the concern raised in the note.
Keep or Discard
Each suggestion lands in its own preview row with two buttons:
- Keep - adds that one suggestion as a normal retro Action under this note. From there you can edit the title, assign it to a team member, and react to it like any other Action.
- Discard - throws the suggestion away without recording it. The other suggestions in the batch stay where they are.
You can request another batch if the first set is not quite right - each request returns fresh suggestions based on the latest state of the note, its comments, and any Actions already on it (so it tries not to repeat itself).
Limits
The endpoint is rate-limited (15 requests per minute on a single retro) to keep things responsive. If you hit the limit, wait a moment and try again. Suggestions only work in the Discuss sub-status; they are not available during Draft or Vote.
