Not everything important happens inside Manager Toolkit. A conference talk, a customer compliment, a major external delivery, capture them as manual entries on the Timeline.
Adding an entry
On the Timeline tab of a Performance Review, click Add Entry in the panel header.
Fill in the prompt: title (required), date (required, defaults to today), and an optional description.
Optionally attach one or more Documents from your library. Useful for slide decks, recordings, certificates, anything you want a one-click jump to from the timeline. Attached documents render as clickable chips under the entry text.
Manual entries appear on the Timeline alongside the auto-pulled bubbles, with a green pencil icon and a "Note:" prefix.
Editing or deleting
Hover a manual entry bubble to reveal edit and delete buttons. Edit lets you tweak the title, date or description; delete removes it from the timeline (with no confirmation).
When to use a manual entry vs a comment
- Manual entry: a discrete event with a date (e.g. "Spoke at internal engineering all-hands"). Sorts into the chronological timeline.
- Comment: a running note about the review as a whole (e.g. "Need to discuss promotion case at next 1:1"). Posted as a right-aligned chat bubble at the time you write it.
